Who We Are
The Merebank Book Legacy Trust was formed by dedicated community leaders who identified the need for a structured, transparent body to address local challenges and preserve the rich history of the area.
We are a registered NPO and PBO, authorised to provide Section 18A tax exemption certificates. We are non-political, volunteer-driven, and committed to the social, cultural, and economic development of the community.
Our goal is to raise R2 million for sustainable community development — partnering with industry on healthcare, engineering, and skills infrastructure for Merebank.
Flagship Project
For the first time in history, a book researched and written entirely by the community — with no single author, and no person receiving any financial reward for their contribution. Book Launch: 12/13 September 2026.
The book serves as a living testament to everything that makes Merebank unique — its founding families, institutions, milestones, and the people who shaped its character.
Important families and individuals are being invited to contribute to the Trust by sponsoring a page in the Merebank Book — a lasting legacy for your family or business.
